SIDE BY SIDE
Is your child or teenager struggling with anxiety, worry or fear? Do you think they could do with some extra support?
Worry, anxiety and fear are part of our day-to-day life. Usually they show up in certain situations or before a special event. Often these feelings are manageable and cease after the event.
However, for many people, children and adults alike, it is not quite that easy. Worry, anxiety and fear can be quite intrusive and limiting in a way that causes physical and emotional suffering and leads into avoiding specific situations. Possible effects can be low self-esteem, loneliness, social isolation, struggles with schoolwork, sadness, etc.
The aim of these therapeutic support groups is to offer a safe place to share and normalise the participants’ experiences with anxiety, worry and fear. We will practice approved coping strategies and support each young person in developing their individual strategies that work best for their specific situation.
